The Halloween Escape Room Fright Experience runs September 1 through November 1, 2026. It is The Darkest Hours — the lights-out, whole-building experience people fly here for — decorated top to bottom and made scarier. Three hours. Up to five rooms. $119 a player. Come in costume.

When does Halloween start in Las Vegas in 2026?

Halloween starts September 1, 2026 at Number One Escape Room, and runs through November 1, 2026.

Nobody waits for October anymore. Universal Orlando opened August 28. Universal Hollywood opens September 3. We open September 1, and we stay open every single day until the season ends — Monday through Sunday, day or night.

Halloween night itself is Saturday, October 31, 2026. It is a Saturday. Your group is not the only one who noticed.

What is the Halloween Escape Room Fright Experience?

It is The Darkest Hours, made scarier for Halloween.

Here is what happens. You walk in. The lights go out. The lobby music changes into something that does not belong in a lobby. And the building — the whole building, not one room, not a corner — stops being a place you visit and starts being a place you are inside of.

That runs all year. It is called The Darkest Hours and it is the reason people book us twice.

From September 1 to November 1, we take it further.

The whole place gets decorated. Every hallway. Every corner you have to walk past to get to the next room. You will notice things you did not notice in July.

We made it scarier. Same legendary rooms. Higher intensity. If you played us in the spring, you have not played this.

You come in costume. Everybody does. Bachelorette parties, birthday groups, corporate teams who swore they would not — all of them, in costume, in the dark, for three hours.

Is this a haunted house?

No. Nobody chases you. Nobody grabs you. Nobody tries to make you leave.

Haunted houses move you down a corridor for fifteen minutes and hand you off to the parking lot. You are a passenger.

Here you are the one moving. You are opening things, solving things, crawling through things, deciding what your group does next while the clock runs. The fear is not something happening to you. It is something you are standing in the middle of, doing work.

We call it fun scare. Your heart rate goes up. Your senses sharpen. Your group stops joking around and starts actually talking to each other. That is the whole point.

Let us be honest about something. $119 a player for three hours, five rooms, an entire decorated building and this level of set design does not exist at this price. Not in Las Vegas. Not in the country. There is no catch. This is just what we do.

Can you wear a costume?

Yes. Costumes are welcome and encouraged all season, September 1 through November 1.

We celebrate Halloween the way the big parks do. Come as whatever you want to be.

One piece of advice from the Game Masters, who have watched a lot of people learn this the hard way: wear something you can move in, see out of, and use your hands in. You are going to be crawling through a passageway in the dark at some point. A full mask will cost you the room.

Which rooms do you play?

Up to five iconic rooms in three hours — plus CHAINED and Voodoo Lounge if your group makes it that far. How many you get depends on how big your group is. Every one of them is decorated and dialed up for the season.

Witch House — Glowing potions. Bubbling cauldrons. Spell books open mid-incantation. One of the most visually spectacular escape rooms on the West Coast, and in October it is the room people ask for by name.

The Cabin — Chapter One — You start in the forest. You break into a cabin. Then you realize whose cabin it is. Built to movie production standards and used in actual film and television. In the dark, this one hits differently.

The Shed — Chapter Two — You ran from The Cabin straight into his game. Hide and seek. His rules. His shed. Secret passageways, crawl spaces, and a clock that does not care how scared you are.

CHAINED — Seven Deadly Sins — You wake up chained back-to-back to your best friend and face all seven together. Thousands of five-star reviews. During the Fright Experience, the sins feel a lot more personal.

Voodoo Lounge — The world’s only rotating platform escape room. Madame Twila is waiting — cigarette smoking, vodka drinking, completely unfiltered. Voted the craziest escape room in Las Vegas. In the dark, she has even less patience than usual.

The Dark Side of Red Riding Hood — The fairy tale was always a lie. Hidden passageways. Eerie discoveries. Surprises nobody sees coming, especially with the lights out.

What does the $200 live actor add?

A live actor placed somewhere in the building with you, for the full three hours.

The unknown is the scariest thing in the world. For $200, we make it real.

They will not chase you. They will not grab you. They will not do anything except exist — somewhere in this building, while you are in it. You will not know where. You will not know what they look like. You will not know when.

And that is the part that gets people. Not the actor. The wondering. Every doorway you walk through for three hours, some part of your brain is doing math about whether this is the one.

Most groups add it during the season. The ones who do not always ask about it on the way out.

Is it good for a big group?

4 to 40 players, which makes it one of the largest-capacity Halloween experiences in Las Vegas.

The more people you bring, the better this gets. That is not a sales line — a group of 25 in costume, in the dark, splitting up across rooms is a completely different night than a group of 4.

Do you have to come on Halloween night?

No. The full experience — decorations, scares, costumes, all of it — runs every day from September 1 through November 1.

Halloween night is the hardest reservation in Las Vegas, and it goes first. Book September or early October and you get the time you actually want, with the identical experience.

And remember what this building is. Most places have to wait for dark to get creepy. We turn the lights off ourselves. A two o’clock Tuesday in September plays exactly like a Saturday night in October.

Why should we book this instead of a haunted attraction?

Because seasonal haunts get built in September and thrown in a dumpster in November. Ours do not.

Our rooms are permanent. They have been refined for years — cinematic sets, real special effects, rooms that have been used in actual film and television productions. The Halloween decoration and the intensified scares go on top of that. You are not walking through plywood and a fog machine that went up six weeks ago.
